It's been a good year for Olivia. She's learned some new things, visited some new places, and made some new friends.
Here are a few highlights that you'll see on this year's video:
- Her baptism, attended by Sharon's parents and my mother. (Unfortunately, my dad passed away in 2015.)
- A long-planned trip to Utah in October to attend general conference. On the way out, we drove up the Platte River along the Mormon Trail, stopping at several historic sites, including Martins Cove. On the way back, Olivia saw friends who had moved from Iowa, visited several sites in the National Park System, and spent a few days with an aunt and uncle who live in Denver.
- A trip to Nauvoo with Sharon's parents, not long before Sharon's dad passed away. During the trip we scavenger-hunted our way through a handful of family cemeteries, finding known and new-to-us ancestors. You might also spot our stop at the American Gothic house in Eldon, Iowa along the way.
- We also traveled to a White Family reunion in Ohio, visiting a few new states and places along the way and having lots of good time with cousins.
- New and continuing activities of Olivia that make an appearance in the slideshow include gymnastics, violin, cooking, giggling, kitty cuddling, and monthly dates with Dad.
