Olivia’s third birthday arrived today. Little Robby and Jenna (with a little help from a snowstorm) stayed home today to celebrate, with friends coming over to join in during the afternoon. Olivia’s been excited by the thought of balloons, pink cupcakes, and gifts, and the day finally came, to her delight.
At dinner we talked about all the things that have happened to Olivia in the last year. Here are a few of the highlights:
- She learned her letters.
- She’s begun reading a few very basic books.
- She started dance class. (She has exceptional form for ballet, by the way.)
- She became the senior member of her nursery class at Church.
- She got a new bed and bedroom.
- She made new friends.
- She became a “big sister.” (An infant foster child has been with us the past several months.)
- She’s really gotten a personality (a mischievous one, often!).
- She grew a little more hair!
